 Remember, there will be no Second Sunday lunch in November.  It will be replaced by Thanksgiving Dinner on November 16.  Sign up in the lobby today to indicate what you will bring for the Thanksgiving Dinner.

 

Thank you to all who came out and helped pack Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes yesterday!  It was a great day; twenty-one people came out to pack just over 300 boxes!  If you’d still like to pack one on your own or with your family, feel free to pick an empty one up in the lobby.  They need to be returned on November 16 or 23.  We are also continuing to raise funds for the shipping and processing of the boxes we packed as a group.  You can give through the offering by indicating “OCC” on the memo line of your check.

MISSIONS MOMENT with TJ and Kathy Sipes, Awana Missionaries

We praise the Lord and bless His name!  Matt Markins, ACI CEO, reported today that we have reached 10,187,350 children in 98,190 clubs in 140 total countries!  TJ and I remember all the Awana missionaries and employees beginning to pray for 10 million children in 2015, and God has been so good! 

TJ attended the Child Discipleship Forum in Nashville on September 25 and 26, connecting with 500 onsite and 1,500 online participants.  He was inspired by the impactful messages and the unity focused on discipling children in God’s Word.

TJ was also invited to deliver the keynote message “One Child, One Family, One Mission,” along with two breakout sessions for about 500 attendees at the Awana Ministry conference at Shadow Mountain Community Church in San Diego.

We recently celebrated TJ’s 25^th anniversary with Awana.  We give thanks for how we reach children through our generous donors!
